Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as they set out the terms under which contemporary curtains makes the products available to you (“Product Terms”). You must read and agree with our terms and conditions before completing your purchase online as they form the contract for sale of goods between Contemporary Curtains and you, the customer.

When buying goods from our website you enter an agreement with Contemporary Curtains, this agreement between you and us will be concluded when you place the order and is legally binding.

A copy of these terms can be downloaded or printed by you at any time and we recommend that you do so.


The products we sell are either photographed or digitally produced and are accurately displayed on the website, however, due to different types, styles and settings of computer monitors shading the colour of the product delivered to you may appear differently to the colour viewed online

Whilst every attempt will be made by Contemporary Curtains to ensure that the goods sold and delivered match in every respect to any sample or description shown or sent to you, any minor variation or change in colour altering the description of the goods delivered shall not entitle you to reject the goods nor to claim any compensation for such variation or change.

By continuing the order, you agree to be bound by this provision. Please note that due to the custom nature of this product you will not have the right to reject or return the finishes product upon delivery due to the colour. If you are unsure about the colour or any other aspect of the product, please order a sample first.


Many of the goods we sell are made to measure as per the sizes and specifications provided by you. It is your responsibility to provide accurate measurements of your window, curtain pole or track in accordance with the guidelines provided on our website.

You must check the product details and measurements supplied of the goods before placing your order online. You are further responsible for checking the order via the email confirmation and to raise any concerns immediately and no later than within 48 hours.

We cannot accept returns or refund your order value if you have given us incorrect measurements as we will not be able to resell the goods.

By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you have provided measurements in accordance with our guidelines.


Made to measure products are custom made to your precise requirements, including curtains, cushions and tiebacks. Once made our products are suitable only to you and therefore cannot be cancelled or returned. Because of this it is extremely important that you are sure about the product that you want and the size you require them to be.

Contemporary Curtains will not be liable to refund your order value and or accept a returnif you dislike the colour or the general quality of the product. We strongly recommend that you double check your order to ensure that the products ordered, and measurements provided are correct.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

By agreeing to the terms, you confirm your agreement to this.


Most fabrics are dyed and therefore the colour of each batch can vary slightly in shade. Due to colour variations between product batches we cannot guarantee shade matching for previous orders.

Similarly, due to the print design of some pattern fabrics or pattern design it may not be possible for a current order to match a previous one exactly. If you are in any doubt as to the precise nature of the fabric you are advised to email our customer services team at info@contemporary-curtains.co.uk for further advice before placing your order online


The price you will pay is the total price shown on your quotation online and on your confirmation email; these prices are inclusive of VAT.

Deliveries to certain areas are subject to extra charges after an order has been placed, e.g. Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands, we will inform you of the extra charge from the carrier as soon as possible and you have the option to cancel the order if the extra charge is not accepted.

On receipt of your confirmation email it is your responsibility to check to ensure you are completely satisfied with the price of the goods ordered and the delivery date. Please remember that you have only 48 hours within which to notify us of any changes to your order after which it will be processed, and changes will not be possible.


Contemporary Curtains can only process your order when the goods ordered have been paid for in full by credit or debit card online you can pay with all major credit cards, debit cards and PayPal. Your payment card details will be encrypted to minimise the possibility of unauthorised access or disclosure.

We accept internet orders only from Web browsers that permit communication through Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, for example, 3.0 version or higher of Explorer and versions 3.02 or higher of Netscape. This means you cannot inadvertently place an order through an unsecured connection.


After placing an Order with us we will email you a confirmation of the Order details in writing. You must notify us of any errors in the Order within 48 hours of receiving confirmation of the Order from us. No changes or variations to the order will be possible after this time. We reserve the right to charge for the changes as necessary.

If you do not receive your order confirmation within 48 hours, please contact us immediately by Email. If you fail to do so, we shall be entitled to assume that you are satisfied with the Order as detailed in the confirmation and shall have the right to rely on this when processing your order.


We have the right to cancel your order if:

1) We have insufficient stock to make and deliver the goods ordered.
2) If you have ordered from an island or country where we do not deliver or if an additional delivery charge is quoted but not accepted by you (in this instance the order can be cancelled by either party)
3) The goods ordered have been discontinued between the placing of the order and its processing.
4) A pricing error or typing error has occurred due to system failure within our database or website.

In the event that we exercise our right to cancel we will notify you of this forthwith and no later than within 48 hours of the order being placed and a refund of sums paid by you will be issued to the card from which payment was made. Refunds cannot be made in any other form.

You have the right to cancel any order in the first 48 hours of placing it.If you wish to cancel you must email us at info@contemporary-curtains.co.uk specifying the order number, your name and the time and date of the order. If such cancellation is received within 48 hours of the order being placed online then a refund of sums paid will be issued to the card from which payment was made. Refunds cannot be made in any other form. All refunds made under this provision will be subject to a £20 administrative charge.

If for any other reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply anitem, we will notify you as soon as possible. No discounts or compensation will be offered under these unforeseen circumstances.


We specify an estimated delivery date on the quotation page when you place your order.

Please note that if we specify 7 days this is intended to mean 7 working days from the moment payment reached our bank account (usually within 24 hours). The specified delivery terms do not apply during busy times of the year, e.g. bank holidays and the Christmas period though every effort will made by us to limit delays.

Delivery will be made to the address specified by you. Please note that we can only deliver products within mainland UK. All deliveries will be made to you by our courier. We do our best to secure delivery within the period quoted but shall not be liable for loss occasioned by delay in delivery. We advise you not to book a fitter to install a product until the order has been delivered and checked by you.


All products are rigorously quality checked before dispatch but in the unlikely event that you experience any problems please e-mail us in the first instance at INFO@CCURTAINS.UK

You have a period of 7 calendar days following receipt of your goods to report any damaged or defective goods due to manufacturing or caused in the delivery process. We will deal with your queries promptly and if necessary, arrange for a replacement to be sent. We reserve the right to ask for digital pictures and other proof with regards to the issues reported or to ask for the product to be returned to us for inspection.

Damaged or defective goods reported after seven days of delivery will not be dealt with by us.

This does not affect your statutory rights.


These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

If any of these Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

No third-party claims will be entertained under any circumstances.


Our curtains are carefully packed and despatched. Any folding of material will cause certain creases; in the case of velvet and man-made fibre material, these will drop out after hanging. Any folding of material for prolonged periods or any items left in the packaging for long period in times may result in long term creasing or may affect the fabric permanently. Cotton prints may need a cool iron.

Our liability to you in connection with any order will never exceed the total price charged for the relevant items, including any delivery charges. We will not be responsible for any charges or losses incurred by you under any circumstances.
